About the organization

De doelstelling van het fonds is het financieel ondersteunen van kleinschalige land- en tuinbouwprojecten voor het verbeteren van de voedselproductie, voornamelijk in ontwikkelingslanden. Dit wordt bereikt door het beschikbaar stellen van fondsen voor de aanschaf van technische hulpmiddelen, zoals werktuigen, gereedschappen en apparatuur voor irrigatie. Daarnaast worden ook fondsen beschikbaar gesteld voor projecten die gericht zijn op de ontwikkeling van nieuwe technieken voor grondbewerking. Bovendien worden studenten uit ontwikkelingslanden financieel ondersteund, zodat zij kennis kunnen vergaren bij Nederlandse kennisinstellingen en deze kennis kunnen toepassen in ontwikkelingslanden. De lokale controle op de bestedingen en het rapporteren van de resultaten zijn belangrijke aspecten voor de stichting.
