About the organization

De doelstelling van de Arnhemse Stichting Bijzondere Noden is het beoefenen van caritas in de meest ruime zin. De stichting financiert goede doelen en initiatieven die bijdragen aan de caritatieve doelen. De stichting is opgericht nadat het spaarbankbedrijf van de Gelderse Spaarbank van 1899 werd overgedragen aan de Coöperatieve Boerenleenbank. Het vermogen verkregen uit de verkoop van het bankbedrijf werd ingebracht in de nieuwe stichting, met als doelstelling het beoefenen van caritas. De stichting richt zich op het lenigen van armoede, het verschaffen van onderwijs aan behoeftige kinderen en het ondersteunen van doelen van algemeen nut.
