About the organization

Het Bartiméus Fonds is nauw verbonden met Bartiméus, de expertiseorganisatie voor mensen die slechtziend of blind zijn. Samen zetten wij ons al ruim 100 jaar in voor mensen met een visuele beperking, zodat zij het leven kunnen leiden dat bij hen past en volwaardig kunnen meedoen in de samenleving. Het Bartiméus Fonds financiert en ondersteunt het werk van Bartiméus, waar mensen met een visuele beperking terecht kunnen voor diagnostiek, zorg, onderwijs, wonen en werken. Ook doet Bartiméus veel onderzoek en deelt haar kennis en expertise met andere organisaties. Daarnaast biedt het Bartiméus Fonds subsidies aan initiatieven van derden en ontwikkelen we onze eigen projecten. Om ons werk voor mensen met een visuele beperking mogelijk te kunnen maken, werft en beheert het Bartiméus Fonds fondsen via particulieren, kerken, scholen en bedrijven..
