About the organization

De Cromhoutstichting Brummen is opgericht met als doel om hulp te bieden aan personen in de gemeente Brummen die in financiële nood verkeren en geen beroep kunnen doen op andere instanties. De stichting verleent financiële bijstand aan mensen van alle achtergronden en geloofsovertuigingen, ongeacht hun sociaal-economische status. Ze helpen bij het bekostigen van noodzakelijke uitgaven en zorgen voor ondersteuning op het gebied van onderwijs en welzijn. De stichting verstrekt echter nooit directe giften, maar biedt altijd concrete en eenmalige of tijdelijke ondersteuning, zoals het betalen van huishoudelijke apparaten of het bekostigen van onderwijskundige ondersteuning. Ook leningen en hypotheken voor de aankoop van onroerend goed kunnen worden verstrekt. De Cromhoutstichting Brummen heeft gedurende zijn bestaan verschillende aanpassingen ondergaan naar aanleiding van de oorspronkelijke doelstelling in het testament van J.G. Cromhout.
