About the organization

De doelstelling van de stichting is om de sociale, culturele en religieuze belangen in de ruimste zin te dienen. Ze financieren met name projecten, activiteiten, initiatieven en publicaties die verband houden met het vrijzinnig protestantisme. Het vrijzinnig protestantisme wordt gekenmerkt door een ondogmatische manier van geloven in de protestantse traditie, een vrije omgang met de bijbel, een persoonlijke invulling van het geloof, een open houding naar de eigen (geloofs)cultuur en andere geloven, met nadruk op humaniteit, tolerantie en geloofsvrijheid. De stichting is ontstaan uit een fusie van vier bestaande stichtingen en is nu beter in staat om projecten en initiatieven te ondersteunen die gerelateerd zijn aan de vrijzinnige protestantse traditie.
