Het Fonds ten behoeve van de Landbouw in de provincie Groningen heeft als doel financiële bijdragen te verstrekken aan initiatieven die de landbouw in de provincie Groningen ondersteunen. Daarnaast, vanwege de opname van het Fonds Groningen 1948, verleent het Fonds ook bijdragen aan activiteiten op het gebied van industrie, handel, nijverheid, en het sociale en culturele leven. Deze activiteiten moeten de provincie Groningen bekend maken en in deze provincie plaatsvinden.
