About the organization

De Katholieke Stichting voor Blinden en Slechtzienden (KSBS) heeft als doel om projecten te ondersteunen voor blinde en slechtziende mensen op het gebied van onderwijs, revalidatie en vrijetijdsbesteding, zowel in Nederland als in ontwikkelingslanden. De fund financiert projecten die deze mensen meer kansen bieden in het leven en ervoor zorgen dat zij zo goed mogelijk kunnen participeren in de samenleving. Het fund ondersteunt financieel verschillende projecten voor blinde en slechtziende mensen, zoals het aanschaffen van brailleprinters, taststokken en andere hulpmiddelen. Ze dragen ook bij aan zwemonderwijs, trainingsprogramma's en wetenschappelijk onderzoek naar mobiliteit van slechtziende mensen. Dankzij de donateurs van de KSBS zijn er al veel projecten en activiteiten gerealiseerd die het leven van blinde en slechtziende mensen hebben verbeterd.
