About the organization

Het doel van de Moyra Stava-Morena Stichting is het verlenen van hulp aan dieren in nood en het bieden van verzorging en onderdak aan deze dieren, inclusief steun bij natuurrampen, ook in het buitenland. Daarnaast draagt de stichting bij aan de kosten van het oprichten, inrichten en in stand houden van dierenasielen en diereninrichtingen, en alles wat nodig is voor het welzijn van dieren. Het fonds beheerd door de stichting verstrekt financiële steun aan projecten die voldoen aan deze doelstellingen. Jaarlijks kan ongeveer €50.000 verdeeld worden voor hulp aan dieren in nood. Organisaties kunnen subsidie aanvragen via een online formulier of per post, en de aanvragen worden tweemaal per jaar beoordeeld tijdens bestuursvergaderingen om te kijken of ze voldoen aan de criteria van de stichting. De Moyra Stava-Morena Prijs wordt jaarlijks uitgereikt als erkenning en waardering voor het werk dat gedaan is ter verlichting van dierenleed.
