About the organization

Het NVLE Fonds is opgericht vanuit de patiëntenvereniging NVLE en heeft als doel om onderzoek naar lupus, APS, sclerodermie en MCTD te financieren. Het fonds ondersteunt ook projecten die gerelateerd zijn aan deze ziekten, zoals onderzoeken, stages, proefschriften en initiatieven die de behandeling of bekendheid van de ziekten verbeteren. Daarnaast reikt het fonds jaarlijks een prijs uit aan een jonge arts of onderzoeker die een belangrijke bijdrage heeft geleverd aan onderzoek of verbetering in de behandeling van specifieke ziekteverschijnselen van lupus, APS, sclerodermie of MCTD. Innovaties op het gebied van klinische of poliklinische zorg voor patiënten met deze aandoeningen komen ook in aanmerking voor nominatie.
