About the organization

Stichting Sobriëtas is een kleinschalig subsidiefonds, dat sinds 1895 bestaat. Jaarlijks ondersteunt de stichting een aantal activiteiten en projecten die aansluiten bij haar doelstelling: het bevorderen van hulpverlening bij armoede gerelateerde verslavingszorg. Sinds 1 januari 2023 werkt Sobrietas samen met het Kansfonds. Sobrietas is nu een ‘fonds op naam’ onder deze paraplu. Subsidieverzoeken dienen voortaan te worden ingediend bij het Kansfonds. In onze samenleving zetten veel mensen zich in om met veelal kleine, maar belangrijke projecten iets van die geest van Sobriëtas in hun omgeving te verwezenlijken. De samenleving beïnvloedt mensen en andersom beïnvloeden mensen met hun gedrag en meningen de samenleving. In de wisselwerking tussen die twee vormen van beïnvloeding is Sobriëtas actief.
