Het doel van dit fonds is om financiële steun te bieden aan bestaande of nieuwe initiatieven op het gebied van arbeid, economie en sociale kwesties. Daarnaast financiert het fonds ook samenwerkingsverbanden van diaconie, caritas, kerk en de samenleving. Deze initiatieven en samenwerkingsverbanden moeten passen binnen het kader van het christelijk en katholieke sociale denken. Het fonds richt zich dus op het ondersteunen van goede doelen die zich inzetten voor arbeid, economie, sociale kwesties en het bevorderen van samenwerking tussen diaconie, caritas, kerk en de bredere samenleving.
