De activiteiten van Stichting Cordius bestaan uit het effectief en efficiënt inzetten van (financiële) middelen voor door Stichting Cordius geselecteerde projecten met een maatschappelijk doel. Naast het beoordelen en selecteren van aanvragen die Stichting Cordius ontvangt, benadert Stichting Cordius ook zelf actief organisaties en projecten. Stichting Cordius doneert uitsluitend na een positief due diligence onderzoek door het bestuur en onder de voorwaarde dat de donatie wordt besteed aan het doel waarvoor deze is verstrekt. Het bestuur kan nadere voorwaarden aan de donatie verbinden. Alle donaties worden schriftelijk vastgelegd. De begunstigden rapporteren aan Stichting Cordius over de voortgang en behaalde resultaten van gesteunde projecten.
