About the organization

De doelstelling van de VVAB (Vereniging Vrienden van de Amsterdamse Binnenstad) is om zich al sinds 1975 in te zetten voor het behoud van het historische erfgoed, het creëren van een goede woon- en werkomgeving en het verspreiden van kennis over Amsterdam. Ze zijn een erfgoedorganisatie en staan open voor iedereen die zich betrokken voelt bij Amsterdam, haar monumenten en haar unieke karakter. De VVAB financiert projecten en initiatieven die gericht zijn op het behoud en de bescherming van het historische erfgoed van Amsterdam, het verbeteren van de leefbaarheid van de binnenstad en het vergroten van de kennis en bewustwording van het cultureel erfgoed onder het brede publiek.
