The aim of TACUDEO is to provides flexible and accessible resources to improve quality of life in underprivileged communities with focus of sustainable agriculture, economies empowerment, capacity development  and environmental conservation. 

This micro-finance initiative will offers loans for multiple purposes without imposing a business mentality on women groups. All the loans will be offered with 0% interest rate what makes the loans easier to be repaid and more attractive to selected groups. Loans will be given in two forms: in-kind loans (supplies, seeds, livestock, fertilizers, transportation, construction materials e.t.c), and regular cash loans. The project will support 6 women groups (defined by the project as low-income women from poor families) totaling 56 people in villages of Kyaka and Mutukula for the period of one year (2025-2026). As a result of this loan distribution, the groups will be able to access financial support for variety of purposes and not only provide better access to healthcare, education, agriculture inputs and other resources affecting human wellbeing.

The repayment of loans is one of the most challenging aspects of micro-finance activities, but it is essential not only for organization’s sustainability but also for individual borrowers’ sense of self-confidence and therefore for empowerment process. This is a low-level risk. The  medium-level risk is misuse of the borrowed money.

The project target to promote agroforestry for shade, fruits and medicine in 4 remote villages of Missenyi district-Kagera region to maintain long term and stable soil fertility, earning addition income, improve famers health and nutrition.

The project aim to provide a frontline extension and inputs support to subsistence  farmers in Missenyi district to have necessary farming resources and gaining skills and experience they need to improve food security and economic independence.
